WHO WE ARE
We are a group of people with Disability, family members and their carers. We have formed together to start a user-led peer network for those with first hand experience of disability for people with disability.
WHAT WE DO
We are a peer to peer network who will run events in the community, participate in policy development, build local relationships with service providers, organisations and politicians, promote awareness and inclusion, and help others find their own voice in an age of choice and control.
When and Where
We currently run a working group meeting for members wishing to be intimately involved in this new initiative. We will run a monthly event called ‘Chatability’ open to the public. We hold these across the coast in different venues.
We believe there is a gap in disability services. We believe everyone deserves a voice in issues affecting them. We believe that peer support and mentoring are vital for social and mental wellbeing. By coming together we hope to promote inclusion, participation and engagement.
